The Church of St Michael Le Belfrey

RVE was asked to provide scaffold design for this Grade I listed church in the centre of York. We worked sympathetically with the existing masonry when designing the temporary works.
We're delighted to be working with Simpsons of York to refurbish the famous St Michael Le Belfrey church in the centre of York. We were asked to provide a temporary works design to improve the ease of construction and access for the workers on site. Due to the unique location and extent of the changes of the proposals, there have been plenty of challenges such as large voids beneath the church floor and protection of historical assets. Alongside the listed building authority, we have used a number of disciplines to deliver a scheme that has little to no impact on the historical fabric of the building.
