Director and Chartered Structural Engineer

Rob Vint

Rob is the founding director and and owner of R Vint Engineering Ltd, which he established in 2011.

He has over 17 years' experience in the design and delivery of structural and civil projects and a passion for environmentally sound town-centre regeneration. 

He operates across both private and public sectors, with residential, commercial, extra care, leisure/social, public realm, meanwhile use, bespoke structures, educational builds, and scaffold design projects all part of his extensive experience.

Senior Structural Engineer

Andrew Milner

Andrew joined the team in 2013. A graduate from the University of Leeds, with a MEng in Architectural Engineering (Int), Andrew’s methodical approach to his work ensures output of excellent quality. Andrew excels in both the design approach to and the structural requirements of a project, giving him a unique insight which enables him to give the utmost consideration to both the form and function of a given design. This approach is highly appreciated by our clients. Andrew enjoys playing darts, watching football, and photography.

Structural Engineer

Gosia Harrison

Gosia has been with us since May 2019 and is a hugely valued member of the team. She completed her Masters in 2017 at the University of Science and Technology in Wroclaw, with her diploma thesis based on the analysis of various types of formwork in view of quality, aesthetics, and economy of building construction. She gained work experience at a highly respected engineering practice in Wroclaw. Gosia brings a unique perspective and approach to engineering and is an invaluable asset to the team. In her spare time, Gosia enjoys climbing. 

Senior Structural Engineer

Sam Brown

We welcomed Sam to the team in January 2020. A York local, he brings with him a wealth of experience from previous positions. His areas of expertise include load assessments, foundation designs, detailing reinforced concrete, building design, and technical report writing.

He also enjoys the project management aspect of engineering: planning, organisation, and progress. In his spare time he enjoys playing and watching sports and painting.

Drainage and Civils Engineer

Charlie Massingham

Charlie joined us in September 2022, and immediately became a highly valued member of the team. After his degree at the University of Salford, Charlie worked for a large consultancy using programmes such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, MasterSeries, and Tedds, plus connection design programmes Procalc and Hilti’s Profi. He has vast experience with section 104 applications and the development of calculations and drawing packages for both public and private drainage systems for adoption by local authorities. He also liaises with local authorities and drainage boards to develop SuDS schemes for brown/greenfield developments, designs external works, and models highways in Civil 3D. In his spare time he enjoys skateboarding, climbing, and making music.

Structural Engineer

Ryan Noble

Ryan is a uniquely experienced structural engineer and project manager, adept at delivering innovative design solutions for complex and challenging structures. He has experience across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial. Using his skills and structural thinking, he ensures the success of projects in a timely manner.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys engaging in activities that bring him joy and fulfillment. Cooking is one of his passions; he loves exploring diverse cuisines and creating delicious meals for family and friends. Another of his passions is home building and DIY projects. Recently, he has turned his theoretical knowledge into practical skills, breathing new life into old spaces.

Senior CAD and Revit Technician

Rashmi Lilapurwala

Rashmi is R Vint Engineering’s senior CAD technician with over 30 years’ experience.  Rashmi joined the practice in October 2024 and  and produces fantastic drawings and models for our clients.

He prepares fully coordinated engineering drawings and details of the highest quality in both 2D and in 3D Revit models for all our projects. He is a structural engineering technician who has experience in a vast range of commercial, residential, and industrial/warehousing projects. He is specialised in the use of Revit & AutoCAD software packages and works regularly in highly collaborative BIM environments. His accurate drawing is both highly informative and attractive to the eye.

Graduate Engineer

Susman Gurung

Susman joined the team in February 2025. He graduated with a first in 2024 from Leeds Beckett University, where he developed a strong foundation in structural analysis, materials science, and sustainable design practices. His hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit, coupled with his dissertation on structural design, have sharpened his problem-solving skills and deepened his understanding of real-world design applications. He's passionate about creating innovative, functional, and compliant solutions for clients.

Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, badminton, and cooking. These activities enable him to maintain a healthy work-life balance, stay active, and explore his creativity.

Principal Chartered Structural Engineer

Will Gardner

Will joined the team in July 2025. He is chartered with IStructE and attended the University of Bristol, graduating with a MEng in Civil Engineering. He has experience in many sectors, from tall residential schemes to sports stadia and energy centres to hospitals. Will is keen to bring the latest sustainable and regenerative methods to his work, including reuse of steelwork within solutions. He brings vast experience with him, having worked on projects including a major new arena for Swansea with a complicated external steel plant screen, refurbishment of a historic museum in the heart of Oxford which included a complex internal courtyard staircase and walkway, truss design for new ice rink facility, superstructure and basement design for a new supermarket with residential blocks above, and lots more. In his spare time he enjoys touch rugby, painting, running and playing Lego with his children.

Office Administrator

Claire King

Claire has been with the team since 2017. She handles many different tasks including account management, dealing with enquiries, allocating projects to engineers, invoicing, health and safety, creating company policies, arranging work experience for students, liaising with clients and suppliers, proofreading engineering reports, and arranging team social events. In her spare time Claire enjoys Pilates, live music and long dog walks.
